Faculty Of Veterinary medicine
The Faculty Student Council (Wydziałowa Rada Samorządu Studenckiego, WRSS) serves as the voice of students within the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The council represents students’ interests and works to improve the academic and social environment. It organizes a variety of events, including educational workshops, seminars, and social activities, and is involved in shaping faculty policies, ensuring student welfare, and fostering a sense of community. WRSS also collaborates with university authorities to address student concerns and improve the overall student experience.

What is IVSA?
The International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA) is a global organization founded by students in 1951. IVSA unites veterinary schools and students from all over the world, regardless of race, gender, religion, or beliefs. Its purpose is to help both animals and humans by harnessing the passion and dedication of veterinary students. IVSA’s main mission is to organize lectures, workshops, and international exchanges to improve and spread veterinary education among students globally.
IVSA Lublin is one of the seven branches of IVSA Poland and operates at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. In the 2023/2024 academic year, our organization has nearly 400 members, comprising students from all six years of the veterinary program.
IVSA Lublin is renowned for its recurring event, “Clinical Tuesdays,” where various topics from veterinary medicine are discussed. In recent years, the most common topics have been surgery, oncology, orthopedics, and neurology. Another popular event, “Thematic Mondays,” covers mental health, post-graduate development, and opportunities for working abroad.
Our greatest pride is the “Student Conference on Veterinary Surgery,” which will host its 9th edition this academic year. This two-day event is filled with lectures, discussions, and competitions.
In recent years, IVSA Lublin has organized numerous international exchanges. Students from our association have visited veterinary schools in Edinburgh, Konya, and Hannover. Members of IVSA Lublin also volunteer at major conferences and congresses, both national and international. Each year, we organize charity drives for local animal shelters.
