As part of the main topic, which for many years has been the study of nutritional, metabolic and hormonal determinants of the growth and development of the animal body in recent years, the two main research directions have been specified:

– examination of regulatory mechanisms of secretory and digestive functions of the gastrointestinal tract and its maturation in early postnatal development

– examination of the physiological mechanisms of bone tissue development, as well as the formation of possible disorders in the aspect of pre- and postnatal interaction of hormonal, nutritional and toxicological factors, and the functioning of the gut-bone axis in various animal species.
