ULSL Student Re-elected as President of IVSA Poland

A veterinary student from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Liwia Arbatowska, has been re-elected as President of IVSA Poland for the academic year 2024-2025. The elections took place in August, with representatives from each IVSA chapter in Poland participating in the vote. Since the academic year 2022/2023, Liwia has been responsible for managing social media for IVSA Lublin. In May 2023, she was appointed President of IVSA Lublin for the academic year 2023/2024, and in October, she took on the role of Policy Officer within the IVSA International Committee.

In July 2023, Liwia was elected President of IVSA Poland for the first time, overseeing IVSA chapters at every Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the country. This year, she has repeated her success, being re-elected for a second consecutive term. IVSA is an international non-profit organization founded by veterinary students in 1951 in Denmark. Poland joined the association in 2004, and since then, 7 chapters have been established in Lublin, Warsaw, Olsztyn, Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań, and Toruń.

Currently, IVSA connects universities and students from around the world, encompassing over 40,000 members. Its mission is to provide the latest knowledge, improve skills and qualifications of future veterinarians, and ultimately, to enhance patient care.

Congratulations to Liwia, and best wishes for continued success!
