Project Objectives

The project aims to improve the quality and internationalization of education at Faculty of Production Engineering University of Life Sciences in Lublin by developing and launching an IIEP as an interdisciplinary specialized course for international students, doctoral candidates, and staff. This will not only enhance the knowledge and skills of course participants, but above all, increase the attractiveness and interest in Faculty of Production Engineering University of Life Sciences in Lublin educational offerings abroad, enhance the skills and qualifications of University of Life Sciences in Lublin staff, and build institutional knowledge and experience that will enable the launch of further IIEP at University of Life Sciences in Lublin in the long term.

Specific objectives:

  1. Development and implementation of a single IIEP into the University of Life Sciences in Lublin educational offering (including a pilot edition), intended to be implemented as a specialized course in agricultural and food engineering for a group of 40 people (20 women, 20 men).
  2. Training of 16 University of Life Sciences in Lublin staff (staff conducting classes within the IIEP) in data analysis, modeling, optimization, and visualization of sustainable production processes in Agriculture 4.0, which will update and enhance staff competencies in the rapidly evolving issues related to digital transformation.
  3. Collection and dissemination of best practices in the development and implementation of IIEP among University of Life Sciences in Lublin staff, as well as implementation of internal regulations at University of Life Sciences in Lublin, including those regarding micro-credentials, enabling the implementation of subsequent IIEPs.

Long-term goals:

  1. Expanding the University of Life Sciences in Lublin program with additional IIEPs and increasing the participation of representatives from foreign centers in other University of Life Sciences in Lublin educational programs.
  2. Increasing interest in the University of Life Sciences in Lublin program and related research among young foreign scientists, who will become familiar with University of Life Sciences in Lublin research facilities (laboratory equipment and apparatus) during the IIEP program, which may lead to joint research projects and publications.
  3. Strengthening the presence of Polish science and higher education internationally, as well as facilitating the international transfer of knowledge and skills to science and the economy.
  4. Promoting intercultural exchange and popularizing Polish culture abroad.
