Study visit to the University of Évora

During the study visit to Portugal, the full program of the trip was implemented as part of the SPINAKER project, which took place from February 18–21, 2026, at the University of Évora. A three-person delegation from the Faculty of Production Engineering of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin was hosted by Prof. José Rafael Marques da Silva, a representative of the host institution, who presented the functioning of the institution and the solutions applied in the field of internationalization of education.

The visit program included promotional activities and the exchange of experiences regarding the implementation of international education programs. During the visit, two meetings with students were held (one each day), during which the offer of the training course “Specialist in Agricultural and Food Engineering in the context of Green and Digital Transformation (Twin Transition)” was presented, along with the opportunities to participate in this intensive international education program (IIEP).

During meetings with representatives of the host university, discussions were also held on solutions for the implementation of intensive international education programs and the model of support services for international students and staff. The meetings provided a substantive and fruitful opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices in the field of higher education internationalization.

An important element of the visit was also the discussion on conclusions and recommendations regarding the further development of international cooperation and the effective implementation of programs supporting academic mobility.

The study visit allowed for the deepening of cooperation between the institutions and gaining valuable experience in organizing international education programs and supporting students and academic staff. We would like to thank all participants for their active involvement, questions, and the inspiring exchange of experiences.

These activities are carried out as part of the NAWA SPINAKER program, which is funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021-2027 under the NAWA project entitled “Support for the creation and implementation of international education programs”, project no. FERS.01.05-IP.08-0436/23.
