By decision of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of April 17, 2023, the research team led by Eugeniusz R. Grela PhD, DSc, ProfTit, from the Institute of Animal Nutrition and Bromatology (Faculty of Animal Sciences and Bioeconomy) received 100% funding for research in organic farming.

Project name: “Research in the field of planning the cultivation of feed plants and optimization of organic feed production, taking into account the use of waste from organic processing, including the principles of their preparation at the farm level. Development of a good practice guide”.

Value of funding: PLN 298,977.00

The aim of the research is to assess the chemical composition of various fruits and vegetables, treated as consumption disqualifiers from organic production, and pomace from juice production, which may constitute an important component of the diet for sows, weaners and fattening pigs.
