The project “QKIS (Quadraspidiotus Knowledge Information System) network” has started on March 1st, 2024 and will last 18 months. This international project was prepared by Partners from Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary with support of Serbian Partners and received funding from the International Visegrad Fund. The total amount of the grant is 37.790 EUR.

The 1st on-line event Kick-Off Meeting within the “QKIS (Quadraspidiotus Knowledge Information System) network” coordinated by the University of Life Sciences in Lublin (Poland), will be held on 9th April, 2024.

According to their expertise, 12 researchers from: Poland (University of Life Sciences in Lublin), Czech Republic (Biosad, z.s.), Hungary (Plant Protection Institute Centre for Agricultural Research) and invited Balkan Partner(s) from Serbia (University of Belgrade) with experience in entomology and plant protection area, focusing on SJS harmfulness and management evaluation will take part in the to establish QKIS: International network of specialists in the field of San Jose Scale management by valuable interpersonal links.

The aim of the meeting will be to agree on further details of the cooperation and the implementation of the project. All Partners will discuss and choose methods and tools supporting knowledge flow within the QKIS network. Meeting programme will also include communication and dissemination activities, as well as project management.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
