PhD students of the Doctoral School; Adam Staniszewski (May 8-21) and Patrycja Skowronek (May 8-June 6) did their internships at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia in Ljubljana (Photo 1).

As part of the internship, the PhD students learned the methods of tissues preparing; creation, dyeing and fixation of histological preparation (using a microtome) (Photo 2-3). In addition, PhD students had the opportunity to learn methods of DNA isolation from biological material derived from invertebrates.

In addition, PhD students took part in an internal seminar, where they could present their research topics undertaken at the Doctoral School and the scope of scientific activity of their organizational units (Photo 4-5).
