On 04.03.2024 – 02.04. 2024 I did an internship at Centro Tecnológico de la Carne de Galicia, Ourense, Spain. My scientific supervisor was Professor Jose M. Lorenzo, who specializes in topics related to innovative meat products.

The aim of the internship was to participate in scientific research, research and development work, to learn about new research techniques and to exchange experiences and knowledge in the thematic area related to the subject of the Polish research unit.

During the internship I had the opportunity to get acquainted with the staff and doctoral students employed at the Institute as well as to see the equipment of the unit. I was also able to improve my practical skills in the field of basic techniques of physicochemical analysis of meat products and to get acquainted with the modern equipment used at the Institute for the analysis of volatile compounds.

Apart from the scientific part of the internship, I spent my free time exploring the surroundings and the most interesting places as well as trying the local delicacies of the region.

The internship at such a high-class scientific institution of international rank was an excellent opportunity for me to exchange experiences and deepen my knowledge and competence in the field of meat technology, which increased my scientific potential. It was also a great time, during which I met many interesting people, which may result in cooperation in the future
