Main Fields of study
The Faculty provides education within the specialisation of Agronomy on the 1st cycle full time engineering studies lasting3.5 years and the 2nd full-time studies which last 1.5 years and end with the professional degree of M.Sc., and 4-year extramural engineering studies and 2-year extramural studies which end with M.Sc degree. Subjects required in the recruitment procedure are: foreign language together with one subject to be chosen from the following: Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, IT, Geography, Physics and Astronomy.
The students of Agronomy can choose out of two specialisations: space shaping of agricultural production and plant production in agri- and pratoecosystems.
Graduates of this specialisation obtain wide knowledge in life sciences, mainly in the field of plant production and technology. They become familiar with the rules of economic analysis, management and the principles of company organisation. They master the knowledge of ecology and environment protection, and are fluent in two foreign languages and fine arts: sociology, ethics and the history of rural areas and agriculture. All these skills together with the knowledge of research technology, operation systems and data base service enable the graduate to find employment not only in agriculture but many other sectors of economy and local governments.
The Faculty provides education within the specialisation of Agri-business on the 1st full-time cycle engineering studies lasting 3.5 years, the 2nd cycle full-time studies which last 1.5 years and end with the professional degree of M.Sc., 4-year extramural engineering studies and 2-year extramural studies that end with M.Sc. degree.
During the first years students gain the knowledge in agricultural subjects, foreign languages and IT. Management and economic subjects are lectured throughout the course. The quality of this specialisation is linking the subjects in agricultural production technologies with professional preparation to take decisions in company management in market economy, especially within the realm of finance management and and marketing.
Graduates become familiar with a wide range of knowledge in economics, finance, marketing and management. They are able to evaluate and examine production and commercial activities. They are professionally prepared to manage big farms, commercial and service companies and also food industry firms. They are also ready for work in the institutions operating in rural areas, such as district councils and banks.
The Faculty provides education within the specialisation of Agri-tourism om the 1st cycle full-time engineering studies lasting 3.5 years, the 2nd cycle full-time studies which last 1.5 years and end with the professional degree of M.Sc., 4-year extramural engineering studies and 2-year extramural studies that end with M.Sc. degree.
Graduates obtain thorough knowledge not only in the field of agriculture but also the skills of properly organising recreation in rural areas. It has a significant influence on economy in agricultural production and on social health.
They are likely to find occupation in direct agricultural production and its environment as specilsts and consultants in agricultural services within various forms of agricultural production, including conservational one [ landscape and national parks, water intake and eroded areas etc.] as well as land polluted by industry; as organisers of of various forms of recreation; as specialists in social organisations and foundations dealing with recreation.
The Faculty provides education within the specialisation of Environment Shaping on the 1st cycle full-time engineering studies lasting 3.5 years, the 2nd cycle full-time studies which last 1.5 years and end with the professional degree of M.Sc.
During the first years students obtain knowledge in biology and chemistry, fine arts, economics and IT, and they also learn foreign languages. Subjects connected with environment shaping and protection together with economical and legislative aspects are dominant in the following years.
Graduates of the specialisation become expert in the field of agriculture, environment shaping and ecology.They can be employed not only in direct agricultural production, but also in the sphere of education as organisers, consultants and managers in ecological production, in landscape and national parks, on areas polluted by industry, in institutions dealing with environment conservation and shaping at various ranks of administration.
The Faculty provides education within the major field of study of Commodity Science on the 1st cycle full-time engineering studies lasting 3.5 years, the 2nd cycle full-time studies which last 1.5 years and end with the professional degree of M.Sc. in a given field, 4-year extramural engineering studies and 2 year extramural studies that end with M.Sc. degree. Subjects required in the recruitment procedure are: foreign language together with one subject optionally chosen from the following: Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Information Technology, Geography, Physics and Astronomy, Civics.
Fields of specialization:
Studies at The Faculty of Commodity Science have an interdisciplinary character combining natural sciences with legal and economic knowledge. The studies educate students in the fields of organisation, products quality control and protection, services, state and international turnover, including customs. Graduates are likely to find work as commodity science specialists, quality managers at operational level in production or trade plants, in agriculture, on stock exchange, in customs and control offices. They are well prepared for standardisation and certification jobs as well as introducing quality control systems.
The Faculty provides education on full-time and extramural 3-year studies that end with the professional degree of a BSc. Subjects required in the recruitment procedure are: foreign language together with one subject optionally chosen from the following: Mathematics, Geography, Social Studies and History.
Fields of specialization:
Having completed the studies graduates obtain BSc degree which enables them to continue studies on 2nd cycle studies and obtaining the degree of MSc in economics.
During the studies students will deepen the theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of economics, regional economics as well as economics of agri-food systems. The classes are run in well-equipped lecture halls, classes and laboratories. Modern curriculum comprising subjects mentioned in economics teaching standards has been extended by regional economics and following subjects have been added as specializations: Economic Analysis, Food Products Marketing, Economics of Food Marketing, Information Technology, Ecology, Strategic Management, Territorial Marketing. Following the university curriculum will enable graduates to work as economists (in territorial council institutions) as well as salesmen and accountants in the country of origin together with European Union countries. They may also open and run their own businesses.
These are 3-years’, first-degree, full-time and extramural studies. Obligatory subjects in the recruitment procedure are: foreign language, and one of the following optional subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Social studies or History.
Students of the course will be able to specialize in: biological regeneration, management and marketing in tourism, aquatic and horseback riding tourism, geotourism and shaping of touristic and recreational environment.

Graduates will be specialized to work in the branches of economy located in both urban and ecologically protected areas in conformity with the needs of people and civilization requirements, technical possibilities and the rules of spatial planning and sustained development.
Graduates will be offered a possibility to work with teams developing urban plans and documentation on local, regional and national level, units of state and local governments, market development agencies, real estate agencies, consultancy and advisory firms and so on.

Forestry studies provide professional and practical education so that its graduates are able to deal with a wide range of issues connected with forest management and environmental protection and also planning, organizing and managing a forest farm in compliance with environmental regulations and the laws of nature.
Within the scope of studies, three specializations have been designed starting in the 6th semester: forest management, protection of forest resources and environment and hunting management
Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge of proper use , shaping and protection of forests under various environmental conditions.
