News

The ‘Together from Day One – Support for International Community at ULSL’ project seeks to build a comprehensive support system for international applicants and students at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin (ULSL).

Project Objectives

  • Facilitating integration: Helping international students and applicants smoothly adjust to academic and everyday life in Poland, while fostering multiculturalism and community integration across ULSL.

  • Staff development: Enhancing the competencies of ULSL staff in assisting the international academic community, including professionalized support for individuals with special needs.

  • Global outreach: Showcasing ULSL as an attractive, forward-thinking academic and research institution worldwide to attract prospective students, researchers, and international staff.

Target Group

The primary target group includes international students as well as international guests visiting the University. In addition, dedicated initiatives will reach prospective international applicants, encouraging them to choose Poland, Lublin, and ULSL as the ideal setting for their academic journey and personal growth.

The secondary target group is the administrative staff, whose skills in welcoming and supporting international visitors will be strengthened further. Indirectly, the project will benefit the entire ULSL academic community – especially students – by driving intercultural integration and building a shared sense of belonging.

Project Tasks

  1. Training and workshops: Specialized sessions for administrative and academic staff focused on supporting international candidates and students, as well as navigating cross-cultural communication.

  2. Integration events: Community-building meetups and workshops for students organized as part of the Welcome Centre’s expanded operations.

  3. Onboarding videos: A series of practical guide videos designed to help new international students and staff settle in smoothly.

  4. Global promotion: Targeted outreach across global social media and web platforms, tailored to prospective students worldwide and showcasing the newly produced video guides.

  5. International networking: ULSL staff participation in the EAIE Conference and Exhibition (the European Forum for International Higher Education).

  6. Welcome Centre development: Expanding and enhancing the Welcome Centre’s services and facilities.

Expected Results

Key project outcomes include:

  1. Smoother, more comfortable adaptation for international students through tailored support programs (workshops, community events) and upgraded facilities.

  2. Higher staff proficiency in assisting international candidates and students, achieved through practical training and global conference engagement.

  3. Stronger intercultural integration within the university community, fostering an open, inclusive, and innovative campus environment.

  4. Enhanced international visibility for ULSL, driven by targeted global campaigns and positive student word-of-mouth.
