  • Fran Gjoka, professor at Agricultural University of Tirana, Albania

In October 2021 I had the chance to be part of an Academic mobility program with Erasmus + between the Agricultural University of Tirana (Albania) and the University of Life Sciences in Lublin (Poland). Although I am in advanced stages of my academic career, this was my first experience of participating in a teaching exchange program within the framework of Erasmus.

The retrospective assessment of my Erasmus teaching period in Lublin is overall positive. The most beneficial effects are an enhanced intercultural competence, establishing new collaborations with partner professors at the host institution, and an observation of teaching modalities from foreign educational systems.

The opportunity to learn from each other is an essential element of a more broadened educational landscape and this is the fundamental reason for establishing such staff mobility programmes as Erasmus+.

My sincere appreciation goes for Prof. Edmund Lorencowicz and the entire team at University of Life Sciences in Lublin for facilitating such a positive experience and the dedicated time. Furthermore, I would like to thank the Erasmus+ institutional coordinators and their staff of our two universities for the excellent cooperation and unstinting assistance given for the progress of this truly impressive visit.

  • Bella Japoshvili, professor at Ilia State University

In May 2022, by the Erasmus + mobility program I visited the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. The visit was very fruitful and interesting; I was given the opportunity to give lectures, to attend my host professor’s – Wojciech Pęczuła’s practical class. During my time at the faculty, I had meetings with colleagues, professors; we discussed future long-term partnership programs and joint project implementation possibilities.

I truly appreciate to Professor Pęczuła and Erasmus+ international coordinator Izabela Wolska. Amazing professionals and exceptionally special persons by their positive attitude.

Erasmus+ mobility is an extraordinary occasion that gives you a chance in addition to professional development, to be acquainted with a new culture, traditions and environment, which is amazingly enjoyable and exciting.

The city of Lublin is unique and special with its history, universities and spirit, and I am happy with this opportunity.

Erasmus + is a program that unites Europe and brings together students and teachers from all over. Thanks to it, we were able to meet incredible people from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and a colleague from Moldova. We were very impressed by the hospitality of the teaching staff and we are very happy that we were able to participate in the program and gained invaluable experience. As a result of the project we managed to expand the scope of scientific cooperation, improve our scientific level, increase the level of knowledge of Polish and English.

Especially important was the experience of conducting lectures to foreign students. We hope that the meeting with our colleagues from Moldova and the University of Lublin will help to expand scientific cooperation in Lviv and create real research projects.

Today we can say only one thing: participation in this program is worth all the effort made for it. And, of course, it was worth the impressions and opportunities that have opened up now!

However, the program in which we managed to participate thanks to our university and the host university deserves the most attention, in particular.

We would like to express our special gratitude for the support in documents and informational support to Patrycja Pochwatka, Isabella Wolska, Juśko Alina, as well as to the Center of International Education of the Lviv Polytechnic National University headed by Nataliya Gots and a specialist of the department Lesia Brych.
