The Winter School “The potential of cold plasma for the sustainable development of agriculture” was held in České Budějovice (Czech Republic) from February 19-23, 2024. It was organized by Partner – Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The school was attended by 28 participants from the Czech Republic, Poland, Argentina and Slovakia. Young scientists and PhD students accounted for more than ¼ of the participants.

During the Winter School all the established tasks were carried out. Participants took part in practical activities – 30 hours (workshops):

  • Cold plasma in agriculture;
  • Plasma discharge in agriculture
  • Physical methods of seed activation – constant and alternating magnetic fields;
  • Physical methods of seed activation – ultrasound and microwave;
  • Physical methods of seed activation – cold plasma;
  • Physiological response of plants to application of biostimulants;
