The University of Life Sciences in Lublin has been included in the latest edition of the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) — a prestigious ranking compiled by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy.
The university was assessed in three scientific areas:
- Agricultural Sciences — 76–100 range (place in the world).
- Food Science & Technology — 301–400 range.
- Veterinary Sciences — 201–300 range.
The University of Life Sciences in Lublin achieved the second highest position, in the field of agricultural sciences, among Polish universities classified in this area.
The GRAS ranking analyses universities in 57 disciplines (within five main fields: natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences and social sciences) — the assessment is based on a number of objective indicators, such as:
- the quality and number of scientific publications,
- citation and impact of research,
- presence of a world-renowned faculty,
- quality and number of scientific publications,
- international cooperation.
Ranking among the top 100 in the world in the field of agricultural sciences testifies to the high quality of research, scientific facilities and international cooperation conducted by the University.
