On 14–18 May 2026, the University of Life Sciences in Lublin hosted Prof. Pavol Findura, representing the Department of Machines and Production Biosystems, Faculty of Engineering, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia. The visit was organised at the invitation of the Doctoral School of our University. The visit was financed under the NAWA STER project “Actions towards the internationalization of the Doctoral School of the Univbersity of Life Sciences in Lublin (I-SDUPL)”, as part of the “School of Excellence” task, aimed at inviting outstanding representatives of the scientific community from various disciplines to conduct classes for doctoral students.
The visit was organised by Prof. Sławomir Kocira from the Division of Quality Management and Production Processes, University of Life Sciences in Lublin, and Anna Krajewska, MSc Eng., doctoral student of the Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.
As part of the Professor’s visit, the following events were held:
The topics of the classes conducted by the visiting Professor concerned modern agricultural technologies, innovations in agromachinery, precision farming, soil tillage systems and issues related to sustainable agriculture. The classes also addressed environmental protection, soil water management and practical aspects of implementing and obtaining international projects, including projects financed by the Visegrad Funds.
The visit of Prof. Pavol Findura provided an opportunity to exchange scientific and teaching experience, broaden the competencies of doctoral students of the Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and develop international cooperation in the fields of mechanical engineering, agricultural technology and sustainable agriculture. The meetings were attended by doctoral students of the Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and representatives of the academic community of the University.
