Visit of Iosif Vasiu, PhD, to the University of Life Sciences in Lublin
Iosif Vasiu, PhD, representing the Department of Surgery, Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca (Romania), visited the University of Life Sciences in Lublin at the invitation of our University’s Doctoral School on 7–11 December 2025.

The topics covered by the visiting professor included good research practices, such as conscious selection of research topics, the role of international cooperation, preparation and dissemination of research results, in particular the selection of appropriate publication venues and tools supporting the organisation of research work. In addition, the classes included in-depth knowledge of veterinary sciences, including small animal anaesthesiology and pain management.
A total of around 100 people participated in the meetings.
The foreign guest was looked after by Mariola Bochniarz, PhD, DSc and Joanna Kowalik, MSc, from the Department of Microbiology, Chair of Preclinical Veterinary Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Life Sciences in Lublin.
The following events took place during the professor’s visit:
- Scientific seminar for doctoral students of the Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin;
- Thematic scientific seminar for doctoral students of the Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin;
- An open lecture for the entire academic community of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.
A meeting with the Vice-Rector for Science and International Cooperation, the Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the Director and employees of the Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.
The visit was financed as part of the NAWA STER project ‘Actions towards the internationalisation of the Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin (I- SDUPL)’, as part of the ‘School of Masters’ task, which aims to invite outstanding representatives of the scientific world from various disciplines to conduct classes with doctoral students.
