University of Life Sciences in Lublin ranks high in the CWTS Leiden Ranking 2025

Our University is among the leading universities in Poland compiled by the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) in the Netherlands, according to the latest edition of the international CWTS Leiden Ranking 2025. We rank 4th in Poland in one of the categories: life and earth sciences in terms of scientific impact!

It is one of the most recognised rankings in the world, assessing the scientific achievements of universities based on publications indexed in the Web of Science database.

We ranked high, in 25th place among Polish universities, while also taking second place in Lublin, behind the Medical University. The ranking covered scientific publications from 2020–2023 and analysed five main areas of research in four categories: scientific impact, collaboration, open access to publications, and gender diversity:

medical and biomedical sciences (ULSL scientific impact – 21st place in Poland),

life and earth sciences (ULSL scientific impact – 4th place in Poland),

mathematics and computer science,

science and engineering (ULSL scientific impact – 30th place in Poland),

social sciences and humanities.

This year’s edition of the CWTS Leiden Ranking – Traditional Edition classified 1,594 universities from around the world, including only 38 from Poland.

Thanks to the high quality of research and the commitment of our scientists, the University of Life Sciences in Lublin is steadily strengthening its position in international rankings. This confirms the strong position of our University in the national and international scientific community.
