ULSL employees at the conference ‘Foreign Students in Poland 2026’
Employees of the Admissions and Promotion Department, together with the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, Urszula Kosior-Korzecka, PhD, DSc Asssocate Professor, took part in the annual conference on the internationalisation strategy for higher education entitled ‘Foreign Students in Poland 2026’ on 29-30 January 2026.

This year’s edition of the conference was held under the slogan ‘Internationalisation in the face of new challenges’ and served as an important forum for the exchange of experiences and the improvement of competences in the field of internationalisation of education and scientific research.
The conference was organised as part of the ‘Study in Poland’ programme, implemented jointly by the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland and the ‘Perspektywy’ Educational Foundation. For years, this programme has been contributing to strengthening the international position of Polish higher education and increasing the number of foreign students studying in Poland, which currently exceeds 100,000.
During the deliberations, much attention was devoted to the transition from quantitative to qualitative internationalisation, including the effective attraction of the most talented students and young researchers and their active involvement in research conducted at universities. The challenges of recruiting applicants for master’s and doctoral programmes and supporting the internationalisation of research were also discussed.
The participation of employees of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin in the conference is proof of continuous development to improve the quality of education.
The event was hosted by the Jagiellonian University, and the conference was organised under the patronage of Marcin Kulasek, Minister of Science and Higher Education.
