The new University Council has begun its work!

The first session of the new University Council, which began its term of office on the first day of the new year, was held on 10 January 2025.

The University Council consists of:

Maria Krawczyk, President of Student Self-Government

With advisory vote:

Krzysztof Tomczuk, PhD, DSc, ProfTit, Representative of the Polish Teachers’ Union
Roman Lalak, MA,  Representative of the Independent Self-Governing Trade Union Solidarność

The tasks of the University Council include:

• giving its opinion on the University’s draft strategy
• giving its opinion on the draft of the Statutes
• monitoring the financial management of the University
• monitoring University management
• indicating candidates for the rector, after receiving an opinion from the Senate
• giving its opinion on the report on the implementation of the strategy of the University
• performing other tasks defined in the statutes
• giving its opinion on the material and financial plan
• approving a report on the implementation of the material and financial plan
• approving financial reports.
