On April 11, 2025, culinary workshops for foreign students were held. Participants of the event, representing various countries of the world, had the opportunity to learn about traditional Polish cuisine and integrate with an international group.
The workshops were attended by foreign students, studying at the University of Lublin as full-time students and those staying as part of the Erasmus exchange program, for example from Turkey, France, Ukraine, Jordan, Great Britain or Italy.Workshop was conducted by students of the Faculty of Food Science and Biotechnology: Jakub Murat, Piotr Kwiatkowski, Wiktoria Dąbek, Karolina Otwinowska. The students were divided into two groups, the first group had the opportunity to make Polish pierogi, and the second one of the most popular cakes in our country: apple pie.
The aim of this meeting was not only to familiarize our foreign students with Polish cuisine, but also to integrate them. This form of spending time together was a great integration, also allowing them to share information about the cuisine of their country of origin. We hope that this event was just the beginning of more events that will unite our academic community.
The workshops were organized by the Recruitment and Promotion Department and the Academic Mobility Office.
