Success of ULSL students from the Student Scientific Circle team of Animal Science and Bioeconomy

Fifth-year students of Veterinary Medicine Faculty at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin: Katarzyna Woś, Marianna Wacko and Karol Pachciński – members of the Student Scientific Circle of Animal Science and Bioeconomy, ‘Biochemical’ section – have been awarded funding as part of a project implemented by the Minister of Science and supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

 

 

The project “Participation of the Veterinary Medicine Faculty students of the ULSL in international conferences on the influence of fermented components of the pig diet on metabolism and regulation of the gut-brain axis” received funding in the amount of PLN 134,041.

As part of the project, students will have the opportunity to develop their competencies, including by taking courses such as PCR techniques and genotyping, statistical analysis in medical research, and nutrition of large livestock. They will also gain the skills necessary for speaking at international conferences and for future academic and professional work. The grant will also enable the purchase of materials and services necessary to prepare for presentations at conferences. In addition, students will be able to participate in a number of training courses and thematic courses that will deepen their knowledge and allow them to acquire practical skills related to the topic being pursued.

 

The project will run until 31 December 2025. Its scientific supervisor is Anna Czech, PhD, DSc, ProfTit. The project was prepared with the help of the Science Department staff.
