On 18-21.06.2023, 2 study visits were held as part of the “AgroBiosNewGen” project.

The first study visit took place on 19.06.2023 at the Plant Phenomics Center of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. Immediately before the study visit, the participants of this event took part in a part informing about the progress of the project and familiarized themselves with the scientific and teaching activities of individual partners. The study visit was opened by the Rector of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Prof. Dr. Hab. Krzysztof Kowalczyk. The progress in the implementation of the project and its individual stages were presented by Prof. Dr. Hab. Eng. Sławomir Kocira (UPL) and Doc. Dr. Hab. Agnieszka Szparaga from the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The scientific, research and teaching potential of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin was presented by Dr. Eng. Magdalena Sozoniuk. The research and analytical capabilities of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice were presented by Dr. Jan Honza. The University of Agriculture in Nitra was presented by MSc. Eng. Viktor Stankievich. The cooperation opportunities and the research and teaching potential of the University of Salvador in Buenos Aires were presented by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, Marina Sansinena.

The study visit to the Plant Phenomics Center of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin was attended by more people than planned, 26 people (7 people from USB, 3 people from SUA, 2 people from USAL and 14 people from UPL). During the study visit, the newly established Plant Phenomics Center was introduced. The possibilities of conducting research and the principles of using this modern facility were learned. The possibility of conducting joint pot studies and the analytical capabilities that this Center will obtain in the near future aroused great interest. Initial talks between the project partners on joint projects using the research potential of the Plant Phenomics Center were started. As part of the study visit, the most modern university Research Station in Poland and the Equestrian and Hippotherapy Educational and Training Center of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin were also presented nearby.

The second study visit took place on 20.06.2023 at Greenland Technologia EM sp. z o.o. This is a company located in the Lublin province, which produces, among others, microbiological preparations used in plant production. 20 people took part in this study visit (7 people from USB; 3 people from SUA, 2 people from USAL and 8 people from UPL).

During the visit to the above-mentioned company, representatives of the company (President of the Management Board Paulina Zajączkowska, Technologist Marcin Wikira and Malwina Zając) presented the participants with the principles of registration of biostimulating products in Poland. They discussed the scope of registration studies and the principles of commercialization and implementation of scientific research results into production. After familiarizing themselves with the above-mentioned aspects, the participants visited the company, starting from the preparation of raw materials for production, through production, to the warehouse and distribution. The study visit turned out to be very fruitful, because after the presentation of the company, a discussion was held and cooperation between the project partners and the company was established in the scope of research and development works on new preparations, which the company would like to introduce to its portfolio. Joint talks were also started on the application for national and European funds allowing for the implementation of R&D research and implementation of new biostimulating preparations for production.
