Scientists affiliated with the University of Life Sciences in Lublin featured in Elsevier’s prestigious Top 2% Scientists ranking
Scientists affiliated with the University of Life Sciences in Lublin have been included in the latest edition of the prestigious international database of the world’s most highly cited scientists, compiled by Elsevier in collaboration with John P. A. Ioannidis and his team at Stanford University. The database lists 27 scientists for the year 2025 and 15 based on their career-long impact.

The ranking covers researchers from around the world and uses standardised bibliometric indicators based on data from the Scopus database.
The latest ninth edition of the ranking was published on 7 October 2026 and uses data as of 1 August 2026. For career-long impact indicators, the data cover researchers’ scholarly output up to the end of 2025, while the ranking for the most recent year is based on citations received in 2025.
The database analyses, among other indicators, the number of citations, the Hirsch index (h-index), the co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, citations to publications according to the author’s position, and the composite c-score. It also takes into account values excluding self-citations, as well as additional information on retracted publications and citations to such publications.
