Representatives of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin at the “Foreign Students in Lublin” conference

 “Foreign students in Lublin – the potential of experience and new perspectives” is a conference held at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University on 5 December 2024, in which representatives of our University participated, both as speakers and listeners.

Among the speakers were:

In session IV – International academic cooperation in the global and European educational and research space – experiences and new perspectives, Urszula Kosior-Korzecka, PhD, DSc, Associate Professor, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Didactics. This session was also attended by Andrzej Szeptycki, ProfTit, Undersecretary of State, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Wojciech Karczewski, PhD, Director of the National Agency for Academic Exchange, Waldemar Siwiński, President-Founder of the Educational Foundation “Perspektywy” and the Vice-Rectors of the Universities of Lublin, as well as Kseniia Smyrnova, ProfTit, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University and Mariusz Popławski, PhD, DSc, ProfTit, Rector of the University of Bialystok.

In session II – Support for foreign students, Agnieszka Wasilak, MA, Head of the Admissions and Promotion Department.

In his speech, Andrzej Szeptycki, ProfTit, referred to the challenges facing Polish universities in the internationalization of education.

The conference was also attended by representatives of the Admissions and Promotion Department, Kinga Tarchynska, MA, and Katarzyna Krzaczkowska, MA.

The purpose of the meeting was to assess achievements, exchange experiences and identify prospects for the internationalization of higher education in Lublin, taking into account the priorities of the state and the changing world.
