Professorial appointment for Małgorzata Karwowska, PhD, DSc, ProfTit

Professor Małgorzata Karwowska, PhD, DSc, ProfTit, who is employed in the Department of Food Technology of Animal Origin at the Faculty of Food Sciences and Biotechnology, received the title of professor of agricultural sciences in the discipline of food technology and nutrition by the decision of President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda. The nomination ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, on 5 February 2025.

 

 

Professor Małgorzata Karwowska graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture of the Agricultural Academy in Lublin in 2002 with a Master’s degree in food technology and human nutrition. She received her doctoral degree in food technology and nutrition, specializing in meat technology, on 21 December 2005, on the basis of her doctoral dissertation entitled: “Effect of the addition of buckwheat and oat seeds on selected properties of meat products.” The supervisor of the awarded doctoral thesis was Zbigniew J. Dolatowski, PhD, DSc, ProfTit.

She obtained a postdoctoral the degree of Agricultural Sciences in the discipline of food and nutrition technology in 2015 on the basis of a series of scientific publications entitled: “Effect of production methods and the use of mustard seeds during processing on the oxidative stability of meat and meat products”.
