PhD students of the Doctoral School; Paulina Bogusz finished internship at the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – National Research Institute in Puławy at the Department of Biochemistry and Crop Quality

On December 19, 2022 – January 8, 2023 PhD students of the Doctoral School; Paulina Bogusz finished internship at the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – National Research Institute in Puławy at the Department of Biochemistry and Crop Quality.

The Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation (IUNG) is an institution subordinated to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. In 2005, IUNG obtained the status of a state research institute.

The activities of IUNG are clearly focused on the problems of sustainable agricultural production development and shaping the agricultural environment, as well as supporting the decisions of administrative and local government authorities. Through its activities, the Institute contributes to increasing the innovativeness and competitiveness of Polish agriculture.

The aim of the internship was to gain basic knowledge and experience in the field of making plant extracts for biological activity studies. As part of her internship, the doctoral student extracted corn from her own field experiments, conducted as part of her doctoral thesis. The internship took place under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Anna Stochmal.
