PhD students Patrycja Skowronek and Adam Staniszewski on October 1-30, 2022 completed scientific internships at the Department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Palacký University in Olomouc (Czech Republic).

As part of the internship, students carried out tasks related to the humoral immunity of honeybees and had the opportunity to learn new methods in the field of assessing the level of oxidative stress and damage to biomacromolecules (methods of lipid peroxidation quantification).

An additional goal of the internship was to start new cooperation between research units of universities and to acquire soft skills, i.e. work in an international team and the ability to present.

As part of their internships, doctoral students also had the opportunity to take an active part in the COLOSS popular science meeting, which took place on October 15, 2022 in Olomouc and present the subject of his research undertaken at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.
