On Tuesday, 29 September 2026, our University hosted Orientation Day, during which we had the pleasure of welcoming a new group of students to the English Division of Veterinary Medicine programme. It was an excellent opportunity for them to get to know the University, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, their future fellow students, and the people who will support them throughout their academic journey.

The event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education, Dr hab. Urszula Kosior-Korzecka, Associated Professor, as well as representatives of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine authorities: the Dean, Prof. Aneta Nowakiewicz, DVM PhD, and the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs, Dr hab. Małgorzata Komar, DVM, PhD. Their presence was an important part of the meeting and a symbolic welcome to the newest members of our academic community. During the meeting, the Dean’s Representative for Student Affairs, Bartłomiej Szymczak, DVM, introduced the students to the structure of the Faculty and provided them with essential organisational information to help them find their way around their new academic environment and make a good start to their studies.

As part of Orientation Day, the students also had the opportunity to meet representatives of the units and institutions that will support them during their stay in Lublin. The event was attended, among others, by Elżbieta Atkinson, MA, representing the Centre for Foreign Language Teaching and Certification at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin; Izabela Wolska, MA, from the Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Office; Katarzyna Szwaj from the Homo Faber Association; Assistant Commissioner Paweł Głowniak from the Prevention Department of the Regional Police Headquarters in Lublin; and Marcin Garbowski from the Strategy and Investor Services Department of the Lublin City Office.
The meeting was not only an opportunity to provide the students with essential information about starting their studies, but above all, to get to know one another and build their first connections. For the students, it was their first contact with the University and with Lublin, so it was particularly important to us that they felt safe, welcome and comfortable in their new surroundings.

We are delighted that such a large group of future veterinary surgeons could begin this new chapter together. The years ahead will bring our students intensive study, practical classes, new experiences and many challenges, but also opportunities to make lasting friendships, discover their passions, and develop both professionally and personally.
We warmly welcome all new English Division of Veterinary Medicine students to the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and wish you every success on this special journey towards a career in veterinary medicine!
