Open Day 2024

Competitions, dogs, a horse phantom, flying pigs, a 360 photo booth, coffee from a bygone age, chocolate tempering, workshops, lectures and “read by Krystyna Czubówna” – this is just a small part of the attractions that visitors saw on 7 March 2024 at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.

Uczniowie podczas Dnia Otwartych Dni.

Our Open Day was marked by learning, fun and helping animals in need. Our future applicants were able to find out more about the offer of studies, the students, the professors and employees of the ULS in Lublin.

The event was opened by the Rector, Prof. dr hab. Krzysztof Kowalczyk, and the Vice-rector for Student Affairs and Education, dr hab. Urszula Kosior-Korzecka, Associate Professor.

Employees of the ULS in Lublin were thanked for their special commitment to the cooperation between the University and Secondary Schools in Lublin.

A competition for an advertising slogan promoting conscious animal adoption was settled at the end of the official part.

The meeting in the Congress Hall also featured the premiere of a video promoting the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, a naturalistic allegory of student life, voiced by famous voice actor Krystyna Czubówna.

Samorząd Studencki w czasie Dnia Otwartych DrzwiThis year, constantly developing our offer and number of attractions, for the first time we prepared stands on the entire ground floor of the AGRO II and the Main Library buildings. The information stand and the Mobile Admissions Office – along with the opportunity to take a photo in the 360° photo booth – were run by the Admissions and Promotion Department.

More than 40 different stands awaited our applicants, where representatives of the Student Research Groups and programmes showed what studying their programme entailed, as well as nearly 90 workshops where our guests could carry out a number of interesting experiments on their own. There was also a presentation about the programmes of study for foreign applicants.

There were numerous tastings, experiments, dancing and singing in the AGRO II building hall, as well as photo sessions with the mascot of our University.

Our event was not only about having fun and promoting the ULS in Lublin. As the University that always cares about the welfare of animals – we decided to organise a collection for the Homeless Animals Shelter in Lublin. Pets were present at the Open Day and cheerfully wagged their tails to thank our guests for all the help and cuddles.

The Open Doors Day extended into the evening hours and from 17.00 to 19.00 one could enjoy student performances during the ULSL Green Stage in the Congress Centre. The artistic part was followed by a travel slideshow led by the president of the Student Academy of Photography Szafir ULSL from a recent SAP trip to an open-air photography workshop to Norway.
