New programme of study at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin

Food Technology and Human Nutrition – a new programme of study in English is opening at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. Its graduates will work on processing, preservation and food control.

Food Technology and Human Nutrition is a new programme of study launched at the university’s Faculty of Food Sciences and Biotechnology. The core elements of the study programme include: chemistry, mathematics with elements of statistics, biophysics, biochemistry, among others.

The study programme is structured in such a way that students gain theoretical and practical knowledge in various areas of food technology, necessary, among other things, in the development and use of technologies for obtaining high-quality food products and the use of appropriate packaging.

The new course is a Bachelor’s programme taught in English. Duration of study: 3.5 years. Graduates of Bachelor’s degree programmes are prepared to take up Master’s studies.

The graduate profile assumes the formation of specialists prepared to work, for example, in establishments in various branches of the food industry, official food control authorities, food analysis laboratories, mass catering establishments, in food distribution and trade or to run their own business.
