On 27.03.2024. – 25.04.2024, I completed a research internship at the University of Molise (Università degli Studi del Molise) also known as UNIMOL. It is an Italian public university headquartered in Campobasso, Italy, founded in 1982 under Law No. 590 in accordance with the plan for the development and creation of new universities; all campuses of this university are located in the Molise region and are: Campobasso (headquarters), Pesche and Termoli. The main objective of the trip was the rheological analysis of mousses with the addition of powder from the skins and seeds of grapes, tomatoes and avocados.

During my stay, I conducted a series of rheological tests on the prepared mousses. The results of the tests confirmed the assumptions about the influence of additives on the properties of the products.

I dedicated every free weekend to sightseeing.

Castello Monforte is a castle and defense complex in Campobasso. Located on top of a mountain, at an altitude of 790 meters above sea level. Particularly interesting is the panorama, which allows you to observe the valleys of the Biferno, Trigno and Fortone rivers, the Majella massif, the suggestive mountains of Alto Molise up to the hills of Apulia.

The church of Santa Maria Maggiore is located on a hill overlooked by the castle of Monfort and is also known as the shrine of Maria Santissima del Monte. The first certain News of its existence dates back to 1354. In fact, it was built as a simple nobleman’s chapel dedicated to the Virgin, and over time it also served as a burial place for feudal families.

The research stay in Campobasso was extremely fruitful both academically and personally. It enabled me to acquire new skills in the field of food rheology and to expand my scientific collaboration with the University of Molise. The trip also contributed to a better understanding of Italian culture, which was made possible by numerous team-building meetings and learning about local customs.
