On 22 October 2025, the #WYBIERAMLUBELSKIE event took place at the Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne, addressed to young people who are making decisions about their further educational and career paths. The meeting brought together representatives of local government, business and academia, and aimed to inspire prospective students to choose the region as a place for development while showcasing the opportunities offered by Lublin’s universities and the city itself.
The programme included panel discussions, presentations and debates devoted to studying prospects and building a career in the region. One of the panel participants was Jordan Wilk, M.Sc. Eng. — a 3rd-year PhD student in the discipline of Environmental Engineering, Mining and Energy at the Department of Power Engineering and Transport Means of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, and a member of the Student Council of Lublin (Rada Studentów Lublina). In his remarks, he highlighted why Lublin is worth choosing as a place to study, pointing to opportunities for scientific and practical development, the city’s openness to youth initiatives, and the possibility of engaging in academic projects and organisational activities.
The discussion also involved representatives of student governments from Lublin’s universities, and the meeting formed part of a broader initiative promoting the Lubelskie region as a place for education and future employment, organised by Kurier Lubelski.
