We are pleased to announce that the international project “FOOD Quality in Digital Age”, prepared by the team coordinated by Bartosz Sołowiej, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Professor from the Faculty of Foodscience and Biotechnology in cooperation with partners from the Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovakia and Hungry, received a grant from Visegrad Fund!

The aim of the project is to facilitate the digital transformation in agriculture in general, with focus on food production in the V4+ region (Visegrad countries and Serbia). The Project Consortium including: University of Life Sciences in Lublin (Poland), Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic), University of Belgrade (Serbia), Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia) and Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Hungary), will undertake joint scientific research, take part in exchange of knowledge and practical skills, as well as promote the use of digital methods for food quality control.

The project will ensure the support for local agricultural and food produce sectors. This goal will be achieved trough accumulation, sharing and showcasing the newest means of food quality control which, in turn, will help maintain precise production, matching the needs of consumers and minimizing food waste.

Project “FOOD Quality in Digital Age” starts on February 2023 and will continue for 18 months.

The amount granted for the project is €61,150.00.
