The central point of the event was the matriculation of representatives of students and doctoral students. Medals for many years of service were also awarded to University employees, as well as prizes for the competition for upper secondary schools in the area of ​​health and safety. Almost 2,000 students are starting their first year of first-cycle studies in 34 fields of study.

 

In his speech, the Rector addressed the students with the following words:

 

“I would like the University to become a second home for you from today, your Alma Mater, with which you should identify and contribute to its development. Within the walls of the university, you will shape your development and the professional career that lies ahead of you. The future and development of our country will depend on you, your knowledge, ideas, creativity and skills. By completing your studies in good universities that cultivate high quality education, you will gain an advantage over others on the job market. Your knowledge and skills will be a guarantee of later professional success. Remember that studies are primarily an effort to acquire knowledge, acquire skills and gradually realize dreams. Without your work and commitment, knowledge and skills will not come by themselves.”
