Employees of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin are members of the Regional Council for Environmental Protection
We are pleased to announce that the Regional Director of Environmental Protection has appointed the members of the Regional Council for Environmental Protection. Among the appointed 28 persons there are 4 employees of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.
The Regional Council for Environmental Protection is a consultative and advisory body in the field of nature protection, operating at the Regional Director of Environmental Protection. It is appointed for a term of 5 years by the Regional Director for Environmental Protection on the basis of Article 97 (1) of the Nature Conservation Act of 16 April 2004.
The members of the Regional Council for Environmental Protection are nature conservationists, representatives of science, practice, environmental organisations and the State Forestry Authority and the provincial assembly.
The tasks of the Regional Council for Environmental Protection are, in particular:
1) assessing the implementation of tasks in the field of nature protection,
2) to give an opinion on draft legal acts in the field of nature protection issued by the Regional Director for Environmental Protection,
3) to present motions and opinions on nature and environment protection issues,
4) to give an opinion on provincial development plans and strategies in the field of environment protection.
