The Faculty of Engineering – University of Porto (FEUP/U.Porto) is pleased to invite Master students and PhD students for the upcoming Blended Intensive Programme entitled “Antibiotherapy and boosters testing to control biofilm resistance”.

 

The programme is  designed for Master and PhD students interested in antimicrobial resistance, biofilms, and innovative therapeutic strategies: Biotechnology, Microbiology, Veterianry analytics, Veterinary studies (with pharmacy embedded in the curriculum), Biocosmetology

 

 The programme combines lectures with hands-on laboratory sessions, providing participants with the opportunity to explore antibiotherapy and booster compounds, and to learn cutting-edge techniques to address biofilm-associated resistance.

 

You can be granted 3 ECTS for this course.

 

The programme consists of two mandatory components:

  • 16–20 March 2026 – on-site (physical) component at the University of Porto (FEUP/U.Porto), Portugal
  • during the week of 23–27 March 2026 – virtual component delivered in the form of online meetings (exact dates will be announced at a later stage)

 

Participation in both components of the mobility is mandatory.

Adittionally, a complete set of duly completed and signed application documents must be submitted by  February 12, 2026 (Thursday) by 2:00 p.m. to the International Exchange Office
(room 309, 3rd floor).

Due to the limited number of places, selection will be based on:

  • compatibility of the field of study with the course topic,
  • academic performance,
  • level of language proficiency.

The list of selected students will be forwarded to the Faculty of Engineering – University of Porto.
Selected candidates will be informed by e-mail.
The host institution reserves the right to carry out an additional selection of candidates.
