Development and implementation of a technology for the disposal of sewage sludge from household wastewater treatment plants using constructed wetland method.

Project Objective:

The project aims to develop and implement a technology for the disposal of sewage sludge from household wastewater treatment plants using the constructed wetland method and to test its operational efficiency. The research aims to establish a scientific basis for the operation of a constructed wetland system for sewage sludge disposal, based on the use of various filter materials and selected plant species. It is assumed that the use of this sludge disposal technology will reduce the operating costs of domestic wastewater treatment plants and eliminate the need to transport sewage sludge to collective (municipal) treatment plants. It is also anticipated that the use of the developed technology will improve the operational efficiency of existing domestic wastewater treatment plant.
