The assessment of possibilities of using a low-protein diet enriched with probiotics in piglet feeding, on the basis of production effects, blood indicators and the amount of extracted biogenes.

Working as an animal feed advisor in Eastern and central Poland I have gained a lot of experience. Thanks to my observations I have come up with the conclusion that there are no suitable Polish digestible proteins to prepare full portion feed premixes for piglets. A few protein components with higher digestibility are used the moment piglets are weaned. However, there are no clear recommendations concerning not only  proportions of these ingredients but also the amount of particular protein components which is in a full portion feed premix for piglets.

Our aim is to look for alternative protein components which can be used to feed piglets on Polish farms. Such protein components which are of high digestibility can be enriched with oriented microbiom. Moreover, these may include energetic booster as well, which will have an extra influence on piglets’ energy.

ProbioProtein will include highly digestible protein components in appropriate proportions, which will be of course enriched with intestina flora stabilizer, strains of probiotic bateria and an enzymatic booster in the form of an enzyme.

One of the most important optimization aspect of pig breeding includes introduction of high quality and bioaccessible protein. Thus, solutions leading to introduction of easily digestible protein components and probiotics have become an essential part of this process.

Stabilization of positive  beneficial microflora of the digestive tract and the use of synthesized by probiotics components improves feed digestibility and minimizes the number of diarrhoeas

It is assumed that the use of an extra innovative feed for piglets which consists of digestible proteins enriched with energetic booster and probiotics (ProbioProtein) will make it possible to reduce the amount of protein in premixes for piglets without decreasing their production and their health.

To sum up, the aim of this implementation project will be assessment of ProbioProtein effectiveness on the basis of production effects, digestibility  tests, animal health indicators and the amount of excreted biogenes.
