On the 27th of May, 2024, a cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and Turkey’s Atatürk University in Erzurum. The agreement was initiated by Prof. Edmund Lorencowicz, PhD, Head of the Subdepartment of Management of Agriculture Machines and Eco-Energetic Systems.
The agreement was signed on behalf of UP in Lublin by Rector Prof. Dr. Krzysztof Kowalczyk and Prof. Dr. Ömer Çomakli – Rector of Atatürk University. It concerns both scientific and didactic cooperation between the two universities. It envisages, for instance, conducting joint scientific research, writing joint publications and organizing scientific conferences. The meeting was also attended by representatives of Atatürk University’s Foreign Cooperation Office – Prof. Dr. Taşkın Öztaş and Pınar Uçak. On the behalf of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, the meeting was attended by Anna Tuszewska from the Academic Mobility Office and Marlena Wosiak from the International Projects Office.
Atatürk University is one of the oldest universities in Turkey, founded in 1957, educating around 700,000 students in more than 700 subject areas. The university allows students to study in 23 faculties. The university’s research and teaching staff includes nearly 3,000 teaching staff who can carry out their research at 44 research centers.
