    The study programme and the implementation of the educational process in the course Global management in smart agriculture enable students to obtain a qualification corresponding to a level of education with a general academic profile. Full-time studies last for 7 semesters and end with the degree of professional engineer.

    The study programme Global Management in Smart Agriculture is aimed at learning modern food production technologies, the range of machinery used in smart agriculture, the basics of GIS and remote sensing, computer programs used in precision agriculture dedicated to stationary and mobile devices, and the development of automatic and electronic control systems. It also allows the student to acquire knowledge and skills in the implementation of modern solutions in agribusiness management, based on analyzing and forecasting economic phenomena and processes, as well as assessing the state and prospects of the economic situation in the world economy, taking into account the ongoing processes of globalization and internationalization.

    The first two semesters comprise mainly general and basic subjects, with a gradually increasing proportion of directional subjects in subsequent semesters. General and core subjects include: Information Technology, Agricultural Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Economics, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Soil Science, Agrometeorology.  The vast majority of the modules are subject areas including: Agricultural Chemistry, Animal Production Technologies, Plant Pest Science, Phytopathology, General Tillage and Crop Production, Detailed Cultivation, Meadow Science, Good Agricultural Practices, Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Automation, Database Design and Operation, Spatial Information Systems in Agriculture, Stationary and Mobile Agrotronic Systems, Precision Agriculture, Techniques and Technologies in Crop Protection, Economics, Economics of Sustainable Development, Management in International Business, Globalisation in Agriculture, Digitalisation of Agriculture.

    The Bachelor’s degree programme in Global Management in Smart Agriculture prepares specialists for the needs of agriculture in its broadest sense, who have the established knowledge and skills needed to creatively solve tasks and a variety of problems related to the management of agricultural production, using modern solutions and control systems and technologies of precision agriculture.

    The graduates are well prepared to move efficiently in the job market related to the agricultural industry. The interdisciplinary scope of knowledge, as well as the acquired skills and competencies will allow the graduate to flexibly adapt to the current requirements of the labor market or to run a modern farm, where intelligent and automated environmentally friendly production technologies will be implemented. Comprehensive education will allow graduates to work in production and service enterprises, research institutes and scientific institutions, agricultural consulting companies, administration and business units where agricultural, technical, economic and information technology knowledge is required, as well as owners of enterprises, farms, or managers managing agricultural production.

    The graduates of the Global Management in Smart Agriculture course will be able to continue their education in a second degree programme in Agriculture, Management in Biobusiness or related fields.
