The Division organizes regular meetings, during which current affairs and scientific issues related to the society\u2019s subject matter are discussed. Moreover, the Lublin Division is a&nbsp;co-organizer of the International Scientific Symposium entitled &#8220;Farm Machinery and Processes Management in Sustainable Agriculture&#8221; and the Jubilee Conferences of the Faculty of Production Engineering at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, which are held every 5 years. During the academic year, 2-3 seminar meetings are held. These meetings are concerned with three thematic groups related to the activities of Division members:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li>scientific topics &#8211; discussion of current research and results of finished research,<\/li>\n<li>organization of science and research &#8211; e.g., reports on trips and internships abroad,<\/li>\n<li>practical achievements and applications of agricultural engineering &#8211; for example, discussion of trends in the development of agricultural machinery based on a&nbsp;visit to international agricultural technology exhibitions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These meetings enable the exchange of ideas and experiences, especially because among the members of the Division are employees of other scientific institutions, such as the Institute of Agrophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the University of Siedlce, and Lublin University of Technology. The theme of the visit was <em data-start=\"370\" data-end=\"451\">\u201cModern Directions in Vocational Education in Agriculture and Food Processing.\u201d <\/em>The Director of the Centre, S\u0142awomir Wr\u00f3blewski, presented the history and current operations of the institution. He discussed the educational programmes, the activities of the school farm, as well as the newly established Sectoral Skills Centre in the field of meat processing. Prof. Edmund Lorencowicz outlined the activities of the Society and provided updates on current organisational matters. Selected members presented the study programmes offered at the Faculty of Production Engineering, encouraging students to pursue higher education in this field. Participants learned about the equipment, technologies, and educational framework related to meat processing. They toured the vocational classrooms, the school farm facilities, and the machinery park. Afterwards, members of the PTIR Lublin Branch visited the Turvita organic family farm in Turno. The participants had the opportunity to learn about the specifics of organic production, the organisation of work on the farm, its processing and business activities, as well as the technical and technological solutions implemented in the enterprise. The 6th edition of the event took place on April 24, 2025, at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. Assoc. Prof. Magdalena Kachel-G\u00f3recka, Assoc. Prof. Grzegorz Maj and PhD Pawe\u0142 Karpi\u0144ski acted as members of the jury in the Production Engineering section. Members of the Lublin division of the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering decided to award a&nbsp;distinction to Ms. Aleksandra Burza and Ms. Anna Kochanek from the University of Applied Sciences in Tarnow for their presentation entitled \u201cKrosno shale from Wysoczany as a&nbsp;promising material for applications in agriculture and horticulture\u201d (Polish: \u0141upek kro\u015bnie\u0144ski z&nbsp;Wysoczan jako perspektywiczny materia\u0142 do zastosowa\u0144 w&nbsp;rolnictwie i&nbsp;ogrodnictwie). Another distinction was awarded to Ms. Kinga Radaj and Mr. Dawid Szyku\u0142a from the Lublin University of Technology for their poster entitled \u201cThe influence of processing conditions on the properties and surface morphology of biostable and biodegradable polymer materials\u201d (Polish: Wp\u0142yw warunk\u00f3w przetw\u00f3rstwa na w\u0142a\u015bciwo\u015bci i&nbsp;morfologi\u0119 powierzchni biostabilnych i&nbsp;biodegradowalnych tworzyw polimerowych). Congratulations to the awarded students.<\/li>\n<li>On April 11, 2025, a&nbsp;meeting of the members of the Division of Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering in Lublin took place, during which financial and organizational matters were discussed. Furthermore, the Head of the PTIR Lublin division informed those gathered about the cooperation in the organization of the XII FMPMSA 2026 Symposium. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Pawe\u0142 Kluza gave a&nbsp;presentation entitled &#8220;Matching the liquid spraying model from sprayer nozzles to data from selected nozzles&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>On November 8, 2024, a&nbsp;meeting of the members of the Division of Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering in Lublin took place, during which current and organizational matters were discussed. Furthermore, the achievements of the Division members were presented. At the end, Dr. Eng. Ma\u0142gorzata G\u00f3ral-Kowalczyk gave a&nbsp;presentation entitled &#8220;Organic waste substances and the possibility of their utilization&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"first-token\" data-sourcepos=\"1:1-1:6\">The 12th International Scientific Symposium Farm Machinery and Processes Management in Sustainable Agriculture \u2013 FMPMSA took place in Lublin, Poland on June 12-14, 2024.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"3:1-3:142\">On the first day, the sessions were held in the building of the Faculty of Production Engineering at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. The next day, a\u00a0field session was organized \u2013 this time in one of the most modern beverage can factories in Europe \u2013 Ball Packaging Europe Lublin Sp. z\u00a0o.o. The third day was dedicated to a\u00a0study trip during which participants got acquainted with the University Experimental Farm in Czes\u0142awice, the activities of the Pustelnia Fishing Inn in Wola Rudzka, the loess ravines in Kazimierz Dolny, and the Janowiec Castle. The trip ended at the Janowiec Castle.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"5:1-5:123\">Over 80 people from 16 countries registered for the symposium. 55 papers were delivered. The topics of the presented papers covered issues related to the sustainability of processes and techniques in agriculture and the agri-food industry.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"7:1-7:283\">Ball Packaging Europe Lublin made a\u00a0significant contribution to the organization of the symposium. Paper sessions were held on the factory premises. During the break between sessions, participants toured the production lines of this most modern factory of the Ball Packaging concern.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"9:1-9:563\">The symposium was organized by the Department of Machine Operation and Production Process Management of the Production Engineering Faculty of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, together with the Walloon Agricultural Research Centre from Gembloux, Belgium, and the Lublin Branch of the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering. The European Society of Agricultural Engineers (EurAgEng) provided scientific patronage for these activities. The symposia have been held since 1994. They were organized abroad three times \u2013 twice in Gembloux and once in Bari.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"11:1-11:125\">The symposium was held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Professor Krzysztof Kowalczyk, as well as the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship Jaros\u0142aw Stawiarski and the President of the City of Lublin PhD Krzysztof \u017buk.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"13:1-13:504\">The symposium would not have been possible without the support of companies and offices that have been cooperating with the Department of Machine Operation and Production Process Management for many years. The 5th edition of the event took place on April 18, 2024, at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. Assoc. Prof. Janusz Zarajczyk, PhD Pawe\u0142 Karpi\u0144ski and PhD Monika W\u00f3jcik acted as members of the jury in the Production Engineering section. Members of the Lublin division of the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering decided to award a&nbsp;distinction to Ms. Sylwia Bondyra from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and Mr. Hubert Ma\u0142yszek from the University of Agriculture in Krak\u00f3w for a&nbsp;poster entitled &#8220;Use of unmanned aerial vehicles in agriculture on the example of monitoring winter rape cultivation&#8221;. The presented work fits into the modern concept of precision agriculture, also known as Agriculture 4.0, which is based on farming with the use of digital technologies to monitor and optimize agricultural production processes. Congratulations to the awarded students.<\/li>\n<li>On April 12, 2024, a&nbsp;meeting of the Lublin division of the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering (PTIR) was held. The gathering began with a&nbsp;minute of silence in honor of the memory of Prof. Kazimierz Zawi\u015blak. During the meeting, current and organizational matters were discussed. At the end of the gathering, PhD Pawe\u0142 Karpi\u0144ski gave a&nbsp;presentation entitled &#8220;Drones in the Service of Agriculture&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IX General Meeting of the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering in Krak\u00f3w (Poland): <\/strong>On December 13, 2023, the IX General Meeting of the Polish Society of Agricultural Engineering (PTIR) was held in Krak\u00f3w. The meeting summarized the last term of the PTIR&#8217;s Board of Directors. This term, in accordance with the statutes, lasted four years from 2019 to 2023. Professor Ma\u0142gorzata Bzowska was elected chair of the meeting (Fig. 1).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-159678\" src=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wip\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2023\/12\/PTIR-Krakow-2023-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1440\" height=\"1080\" \/>Fig. 1. Prof. Rudolf Micha\u0142ek &#8211; President of the Board of Directors, opens the IX General Meeting of the PTIR<\/p>\n<p>In connection with the centenary anniversary, he presented the profile of Professor Janusz Haman \u2013 his achievements and impact on the development of agricultural engineering in Poland.<\/p>\n<p>The planned program of the meeting was then implemented. Program reports of the PTIR, financial statements, and the audit committee were presented. After a&nbsp;discussion, the authorities of the PTIR were granted an acquittal in a&nbsp;vote. In the next point, reports from the activities of the individual branches were presented.<\/p>\n<p>Then, elections were held for the President and Members of the Board of Directors, the Audit Committee, and the Collegial Court. Professor Rudolf Micha\u0142ek was re-elected as President. The board of directors consisted of: Professor J\u00f3zef Szlachta \u2013 Vice President, Professor Maciej Kubo\u0144 \u2013 Treasurer, Assoc. Prof. Dariusz Kwa\u015bniewski \u2013 Secretary, three members: Professor Dariusz Choszcz, Assoc. Prof. Artur Kraszkiewicz, and Professor Jacek Przyby\u0142.<\/p>\n<p>Professor S\u0142awomir Kurpaska (chair), Assoc. Prof. Szymon G\u0142owacki, and Assoc. Prof. Przemys\u0142aw Niewiadomski were elected to the Audit Committee. Assoc. Prof. Urszula Malaga-Tobo\u0142a was elected chair of the Collegial Court, and Professor Edmund Lorencowicz and Assoc. Prof. Karol Durczok were elected members.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting concluded with a&nbsp;discussion on the future activities of the PTIR. The participants agreed that the society should continue to play an active role in promoting agricultural engineering in Poland.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li>Representation of the Lublin Division of PSAE participated in the 4th International Symposium of Student Scientific Groups &#8220;Environment-Plant-Animal-Product&#8221;.
