The workshops took place on June 28, 2026, and were conducted in two groups.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/zh-warsztaty07.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-558502\" src=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/zh-warsztaty07.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Students of Maria Curie-Sk\u0142odowska University in Lublin participated in the workshops on the following dates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>June 1, 2026 \u2013 Biology, second and third year, first cycle, specialization in environmental biology,<\/li>\n<li>June 12, 2026 \u2013 Biology, second year, first cycle, specialization in medical biology,<\/li>\n<li>June 15, 2026 \u2013 Biology, first year, second cycle, specialization in environmental biology and biotechnology, first and second cycle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/zh-warsztaty08.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-558506\" src=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/zh-warsztaty08.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The workshop program included theoretical and field sessions. During the lectures, topics related to biodiversity, invasive species, methods for identifying Sosnowsky&#8217;s hogweed, and threats resulting from its presence in the environment were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the principles of safe contact with Sosnowsky&#8217;s hogweed and procedures for reporting sites using digital tools developed as part of the project. Participants learned about the WebGIS BarszczAlert application, which enables social mapping and reporting of Sosnowsky&#8217;s hogweed sites from mobile devices and computers.<\/p>\n<p>The practical part of the workshop took place in the Werbkowice commune. Participants had the opportunity to observe Sosnowsky&#8217;s hogweed habitats, learn about methods of controlling it, and analyze the effects of ongoing mitigation efforts. Health and safety regulations, as well as documenting and reporting on habitats using digital tools, were key elements of the workshop.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/zh-warsztaty05.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-558494\" src=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/zh-warsztaty05.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The workshop concluded with a&nbsp;summary of the knowledge gained and a&nbsp;discussion during which participants could exchange experiences and observations.<\/p>\n<p>During the lectures, participants received teaching materials and promotional merchandise sets with the project logo. At the conclusion of the workshop, certificates confirming participation were awarded.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/zh-warsztaty20.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-558554\" src=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/zh-warsztaty20.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1673\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As part of the event, participants were also provided with all-day catering, including a&nbsp;morning snack and lunch.
