My supervisor was Prof. Izabela Korona-G\u0142owniak, MD, PhD. I&nbsp;completed the internship from October 1st to December 31st.<\/p>\n<p>During my internship, I&nbsp;was responsible for determining the MIC (minimum inhibitory concentration) for fungal pathogens and the MBC (minimum bactericidal concentration). The analyses focused primarily on compounds from the 1,3,4-thiadiazole and coumarins groups and involved determining the concentration at which no pathogens were observed. Visual assessment of cell presence was supported by spectrophotometric measurements at a&nbsp;wavelength of 600 nm. The tested compound concentrations ranged from 0.45 to 1000 mg\/ml. The species studied included Candida parapsilosis, C. albicans, C. glabrata, C. krusei, C. tropicalis, C. auris, and C. lusitaniae.
