Among the appointed 28 persons there are 4 employees of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>The Regional Council for Environmental Protection is a consultative and advisory body in the field of nature protection, operating at the Regional Director of Environmental Protection. It is appointed for a term of 5 years by the Regional Director for Environmental Protection on the basis of Article 97 (1) of the Nature Conservation Act of 16 April 2004.<\/p>\n<p>The members of the Regional Council for Environmental Protection are nature conservationists, representatives of science, practice, environmental organisations and the State Forestry Authority and the provincial assembly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The tasks of the Regional Council for Environmental Protection are, in particular:<\/p>\n<p>1) assessing the implementation of tasks in the field of nature protection,<\/p>\n<p>2) to give an opinion on draft legal acts in the field of nature protection issued by the Regional Director for Environmental Protection,<\/p>\n<p>3) to present motions and opinions on nature and environment protection issues,<\/p>\n<p>4) to give an opinion on provincial development plans and strategies in the field of environment protection.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Employees of the ULSL appointed to the council:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Tomasz Mieczan<\/strong>, PhD, DSc, ProfTit \u2013 Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Biology, Department of Hydrobiology and Protection of Ecosystems<\/li>\n<li><strong>Krzysztof J\u00f3\u017awiakowski<\/strong>, PhD, DSc, ProfTit \u2013 Department of Environmental Engineering<\/li>\n<li><strong>Danuta Urban<\/strong>, PhD, DSc, ProfTit \u2013 Department of Nature-Based Forestry<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mariusz Kulik<\/strong>, PhD, DSc \u2013 Department of Meadow and Landscape Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations!
