In addition to the authorities, employees and students of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, the hall of the Congress Centre was also attended by representatives of the clergy. Participants got into the holiday mood with joint carolling and wishes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-448003\" src=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/1-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" \/>The meeting was opened by the spokesperson of ULSL, Monika Jaskowiak, MA, who welcomed guests to the annual pre-Christmas celebration. Then the participants were put in a&nbsp;festive mood by the ,Jawor\u2019 Song and Dance Ensemble, presenting Christmas carols and pastorals, which were sung with the ensemble by the entire gathered academic community.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-448007\" src=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" \/>The Rector, Krzysztof Kowalczyk, PhD, DSc, ProfTit, then took the floor. In his speech, he emphasized the aspect of closeness, which is particularly important during the holidays, and which has changed its dimension in the era of the Internet and the ubiquitous rush of information.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-448011\" src=\"https:\/\/up.lublin.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" \/>Before extending Christmas greetings to each other, Archbishop Stanislaw Budzik read a&nbsp;passage of scripture and consecrated the wafers, which were then distributed to the participants of the meeting.
