We are pleased to announce that a monograph entitled “Organic food consumer in the Visegrad Countries”<\/a> by our project partners \u00a0– Dr Julia Wojciechowska-Solis, Dr Joanna Smoluk-Sikorska, Dr Magdalena \u015amiglak-Krajewska, Dr Mariusz Malinowski, Prof. Paul\u00edna Krn\u00e1\u010dov\u00e1, Doc Malgorzata Jarossov\u00e1, Dr Gy\u00f6r\u00e9n\u00e9 Kis Gy\u00f6ngyi, Dr Martina Z\u00e1mkov\u00e1 and Dr Stanislav Roj\u00edk has been published. The monograph discusses the state of organic farming and the organic food market in the Visegrad Group countries. It presents the results of research on consumer behavior in the organic food market in these four countries. The book consists of an introduction, four chapters, and conclusions.<\/p>\n

The first three chapters are review-based and were prepared on the basis of an analysis of secondary sources. The last chapter presents the results of empirical research conducted by the authors. In the first chapter, the authors focused on discussing issues related to consumption and the consumer and consumer behavior. The second chapter is devoted to organic farming and the organic products market in the European Union. The next part of the monograph concerns the development of organic agriculture in individual V4 countries. The last chapter presents the results of empirical research, particularly the analysis of consumer behavior in the organic food markets of the V4 member states. It presents the profiles of organic food consumers in each of the markets, discusses the purchasing intentions regarding organic products declared by respondents, the frequency of purchases of individual organic products, as well as barriers to the development of this market in the opinion of respondents.<\/p>\n

The authors also propose specific solutions that can be implemented to stimulate demand and strengthen the organic food market, which is why it is a valuable source of information not only for the scientific sphere but also for market participants and public institutions.<\/p>\n
