INFORMATION ABOUT INVITED PROFESOR <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n

Professor Alexandros Stefanakis<\/strong> is an expert on sustainable and decentralized water and wastewater management with over 15 years\u2019 experience in the research, design, construction and operation of eco-technologies. He has implemented about 60 Constructed Wetland facilities across Europe, Middle East, Africa, USA and South America for a wide range of applications, based on the use of green technology. His professional portfolio includes the construction and operation of the world’s largest industrial constructed wetland system for oilfield wastewater management in the desert of Oman (175,000 m\u00b3\/day).<\/p>\n

Invited guest is an author of about 92 scientific papers published in international journals (h-index = 31). \u00a0He is elected President of the International Ecological Engineering Society, also elected Regional Coordinator for Africa and Middle East for the Specialist Group \u2018Wetlands for Water Pollution Control\u2019 of the International Water Association and European Climate Pact Ambassador. He has been included in the list of World\u2019s Top 2% Scientists of Stanford University (USA) for the years 2020 and 2021.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n
