From March 19th to 22nd, 2024, PhD students Anna Krajewska and Robert Waraczewski, members of the “FOOD Quality in Digital Age” project, visited the Slovak University of Agriculture (SUA) in Nitra and Pie\u0161\u0165any.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Throughout the visit, PhD students and researchers from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Serbia engaged in the fourth segment of a five-part training program on digital food quality assessment techniques. Tailored to their respective domains, the hosting institution provided training on the utilization of electronic eye methodology. This training was administered by experts from the AgroBioTech Research Centre and the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Science, renowned for their proficiency in food analysis and instrumental sensory evaluation methods, including the utilization of advanced technologies such as the electronic eye.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Dr. Jana \u0160tef\u00e1nikov\u00e1, a distinguished expert in LC- and GC-based separation and detection devices, oversaw the training session. <\/p>\n

As part of the itinerary, the participants had the opportunity to tour a dairy plant in B\u00e1novce nad Bebravou, Slovakia, gaining insights into the production processes of pasta filata type cheeses. <\/p>\n

Additionally, PhD students participated in the XXI. SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE WITH INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPATION, endorsed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic, themed around “FOOD SAFETY AND CONTROL”. This networking session facilitated the exchange of innovative ideas and the establishment of valuable professional connections, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to further advancements in food quality evaluation methods.<\/p>\n
