As part of the internship, doctoral students learned about the steps in the preparation of microscopic samples, i.e. preparation of ultra-thin sections (using ultramicrotome), negative staining (using contrasting reagents), preparation of microscopic meshes (using Plasma Cleaner) and applying the preparation on copper grids.
