Posiadanie odmiennych kompetencji spo\u0142ecznych nie powinno stanowi\u0107 problemu, je\u015bli obie strony odnosz\u0105 si\u0119 do siebie z&nbsp;szacunkiem.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n                                        <\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t                                                        <div class=\"block-text\">\n\t                                        <h2><strong>ENG<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>The supervisor&#8217;s duties include in particular:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>1) providing scientific supervision over the preparation of the doctoral dissertation by the doctoral student, including providing the doctoral student with the necessary substantive and methodological assistance in scientific work;<\/p>\n<p>2) ensuring that the doctoral student has appropriate working and research conditions;<\/p>\n<p>3) helping the doctoral student develop an individual research plan;<\/p>\n<p>4) providing opinions on the doctoral student&#8217;s applications and requests submitted during the education;<\/p>\n<p>5) periodically providing opinions on the doctoral student&#8217;s progress in scientific work, in particular in the implementation of the individual research plan in the form of an opinion for the doctoral student&#8217;s annual report;<\/p>\n<p>6) cooperating with the director of the doctoral school in order to monitor the doctoral student&#8217;s progress;<\/p>\n<p>7) cooperating with the assistant supervisor or the doctoral student&#8217;s second supervisor, if appointed.<\/p>\n<p>8) assistance in shaping specific scientific attitudes and skills<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A doctoral student must not only prepare a&nbsp;dissertation, but also learn the specifics of scientific work, so that in the future they will be able to independently conduct research at the highest possible level, also in cooperation with other scientists<\/li>\n<li>The supervisor plays the role of a&nbsp;master who, by the example of their own actions, passes on to the doctoral student specific patterns of behavior and principles of cooperation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Duties of the assistant supervisor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The duties of the assistant supervisor include, in particular, performing auxiliary activities, in consultation with the supervisor, in the scientific supervision of the doctoral student.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>Principles of cooperation between supervisor and PhD student<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ol style=\"margin-bottom: 20px\">\n<li>The basis for cooperation is constant communication between the supervisor and the PhD student.<br \/>This communication takes place on many levels, not only scientific. The supervisor indicates the principles of scientific work, good practices, with particular emphasis on the specificity of scientific work in a&nbsp;given discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Currently, the expectations of doctoral candidates are often very different from the expectations of supervisors, which is why it is necessary to establish contact\/cooperation between the future supervisor and the doctoral candidate as early as possible.<\/li>\n<li>The supervisor-doctoral student relationship should begin before recruitment to the doctoral school. Both the future supervisor and the doctoral candidate should be aware that recruitment to the doctoral school tests the scientific competences and knowledge of the candidates and at the same time gives an idea of the quality of contact between the future supervisor and the doctoral candidate.<\/li>\n<li>The doctoral student must know the definition of a&nbsp;doctoral dissertation, and the supervisor should explain to him what an &#8220;original solution to a&nbsp;scientific problem&#8221; or an &#8220;original solution in the application of the results of one&#8217;s own scientific research in the economic or social sphere&#8221; is. The doctoral dissertation should meet the requirement of innovation.<\/li>\n<li>It is worth determining the form of the doctoral dissertation as early as possible. Will the doctoral dissertation be a&nbsp;monograph or a&nbsp;collection of scientific articles? Will it be prepared in Polish or English? The quality of the prepared plan affects the possibility of its implementation, and thus the final effect of the joint work.<\/li>\n<li>Topic. The choice of the topic of the dissertation should be thoroughly thought out. Is it better to choose a&nbsp;well-known issue or a&nbsp;completely new topic for science? Is a&nbsp;new topic better because it is unknown, or worse because it may turn out to be so difficult that no one has been able to develop it.<\/li>\n<li>Systematicity. It is necessary not only in scientific work, but also in supervisor-PhD student contacts. Preparation of an Individual Research Plan, annual substantive reports and mid-term evaluation promote systematicity in scientific work.<\/li>\n<li>Empiricality. It is necessary to carefully plan how the data will be obtained. Will there be enough time to obtain data for the PhD? How long will I&nbsp;be obtaining the data? How long and where will the data be stored? Who will have access to it? Where can I&nbsp;get the data? Do I&nbsp;have access to equipment and research tools? Do I&nbsp;have money for research?
